St Saviour’s Making Life Better project
We have commissioned Zedakah to work with us to develop the use of all our facilities at St Saviour’s so that we can continue the vision to serve the local community. This project is supported by the deanery and the diocese. It will work in partnership with the other activities at local churches.
Aim and Purpose:
To establish St Saviour’s Church as a sustainable community asset in East Folkestone, fulfilling the mission of the church through community transformation.
To meet the identified needs of the local community working in partnership with other agencies across Folkestone.

Action:
Current needs are being identified by a range of agencies. This includes a community survey. You might get a copy of this through your letter box. You can complete it on line by clicking here.
Please do complete the survey. The more responses we get the more accurate our findings will be and we will be more able to provide facilities people really need.
Needs are also opportunities we can use to develop a sustainable business at St Saviour’s:
Public safety
Local environment Young people need facilities, skills and affordable housing
Isolation: access to health care, people feeling excluded and frustrated.

Currently we are working on three new projects;
Community Cafe,

Employing a community development worker.
Communication
The brand ‘Making Life Better’ will appear on all publicity and research materials,
Information will be circulated across Folkestone using all available media and networks.
