Partners
Working in partnership is all the rage at the moment but the church has always worked in partnership with other groups, these include local government and statutory agencies, local voluntary organisations, the private sector and other churches.
You will soon find our current partners listed here and be able to contact them through this site.
Folkestone Reads - Launched today, the book is Framed by Frank Cottrell Boyce. There will be some give aways and also plenty of copies in stock at all Folkestone libraries, particularly Wood Ave. Please find time to at least dip in to the book and promote and talk about it to as many people as you can. There are postcards requesting feedback as well as an on line questionnaire on the library website.
Living Libraries event at Wood Ave 10am - 1pm on either Wed 3rd or 10th March - when customers will be able to ‘borrow’ Living books which means they can chat to a person and find out about the book’s particular experience or interest for a session of about 20-40minutes
Need to Know (working title) session to be held at Wood Ave on Thursday 11th February. An Ad Ed tutor will be delivering a one off 2 hr taster session about money/debt management and we are thinking of inviting other agencies too. The original idea was to run it in January when people are making NY resolutions. Suggested agencies are Trading Standards - Know your rights, Health Trainer, Alcohol awareness and possibly Next Steps.
